Requirements

  • Mechanical trade certification or equivalent qualification in a mechanical field
  • Considerable maintenance related experience in mechanical function with relevant industrial experience (airline, military, oilfield, automotive, electronic)
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise on hydraulic circuits and ability to troubleshoot faults
  • Advanced level of analytical ability to find solutions to complex technical problems
  • Relevant industry experience (oilfield, automotive) with excellent mechanical aptitude
  • Current passport holder for travel requirements
  • Understanding and knowledge of various industrial sectors such as fishing tools, wellbore intervention, liners, and completions (hydraulic mechanical based background)

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and repairs cementing equipment including, but not limited to: cementing hardware, offshore cement units and any other mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic machine as required
  • Maintains, repairs and prepares equipment in the workshop for offshore cement operations
  • Works to pre-defined procedures in line with established work practices and quality standards
  • Assists in incident investigations, troubleshooting, and diagnosing equipment issues
  • Assists in the enhancement of maintenance processes, documentation, and quality
  • Maintains equipment records and filing systems as part of quality control and assurance programs
  • Maintains assigned offshore units, cement heads, and related equipment in accordance with operating specifications
  • Routinely welds, paints and refurbishes equipment
  • Conducts mechanical inspections
  • May use moderately complex diagnostic equipment
  • Maintains records
  • Handles special projects, as assigned
