General Ledger Accountant

Candidates should possess accounting experience and a thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP), along with intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. They must demonstrate initiative in researching and following up on non-standard situations to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and possess strong analytical and organizational skills. Experience with general ledger software and Lawson accounting software is also required.
The Area Accountant will compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries and document business transactions, prepare monthly and quarterly operational performance reports, assist in ensuring internal controls are in place, reconcile balance sheet accounts, support the annual budget and interim forecasting process, support financial audits, provide support to corporate and region financial management, and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
