  • 4+ years of electrical experience
  • Clean driver's license and insurable
  • CDL preferred, but not mandatory
  • Must be able to pass a drug test upon hiring and during employment (sporadic drug testing with a zero-tolerance policy)
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Working experience with single phase, three phase, control circuits, and all aspects of electrical distribution (AC and DC circuits)
  • Basic to average proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Internet-based programs)

Responsibilities

  • Understanding and ability to work with crew lead to perform maintenance/installation of electrical components within commercial properties and wireless cell sites
  • Working with cabinet sets, main distribution panels (200 amp to 2000 amps+), disconnects, meter pedestals/cans, transformers, emergency generators, manual transfer switches, automatic transfer switches, etc
  • Working on and understanding single phase and three phase (120/240, 120/240 Delta, 120/208 Y, 277/480) with supervision
  • Reading and accurately interpreting construction electrical drawings
  • Assisting/performing civil work including grounding, trenching, and conduit installation (prior excavating equipment operating a plus)
  • Operating test equipment such as voltmeters, meg tester, amp meters, and high potential test equipment
  • Understanding and compliance with company and government operating plans and procedures (NEC, OSHA, DOT, etc.)
  • Organizing materials and tools to maintain clean and neat work areas
  • Adhering to and promoting the environmental, health & safety policies
  • Working alongside assigned team members
  • Travel required throughout the Southeast (company provides hotel, vehicle, and meals during travel)
  • Performing other duties as assigned
