Requirements

  • Field readiness for extended deployment to customer locations (up to 80% on-site in warehouse conditions with temperature variations, industrial noise, prolonged standing/walking)
  • Proficiency in software debugging, data analysis (logs, telemetry, SQL/NoSQL data, container metrics), and direct collaboration with internal engineering and customer-facing teams
  • Working proficiency and maintenance of internal platforms/tools: Portal, Foxglove, Kibana, ArgoCD, Grafana for observability, anomaly identification, and diagnostics
  • Ability to explain technical details to non-experts and ship pragmatic fixes quickly
  • Comfort with office desk-based tasks and lab-floor testing in Redwood City, CA

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose & resolve Tier 2 application and software incidents: analyze logs/telemetry/SQL/NoSQL data/container metrics, reproduce issues in staging, craft work-arounds/scripted hot-fixes, and document resolutions
  • Ensure successful New Product Introduction (NPI) by driving pilot execution, resolving early issues, and meeting customer KPIs
  • Achieve high-quality and rapid resolution: own incidents to meet/exceed targets for First Response, Containment, and Permanent Fix
  • Drive operational excellence: reduce repeat incidents by authoring runbooks, knowledge base articles, and automated diagnostics
  • Build customer trust: serve as named technical point-of-contact for strategic sites
  • Provide engineering feedback loop: deliver actionable bug reports and reproducible cases to accelerate root-cause analysis
  • Enable field teams: offer real-time support and tooling guidance to application services teams at pilot/production sites
  • Dive deep into logs, data-driven results, and configuration states; collaborate with Technical Assistance Center (Tier 1), Product Support (hardware), and Engineering (Tier 3)
