Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
At least 3 years of experience in application security or a related role
Strong understanding of application security concepts, protocols, and best practices
Proficiency with AppSec tools (e.g., SAST, DAST, SCA, container/K8S security and equivalents)
Experience with secure coding practices and frameworks (e.g., OWASP, SANS)
Knowledge of common programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, Spring Boot, Python) and web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and Azure fundamentals
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with good communication skills
Azure cloud experience (preferred)
Security-related certifications (e.g., CISSP, CSSLP, CASP+, CEH, OSCP, GSEC) (preferred)

Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with development teams to integrate security into the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Monitor and safeguard security within the application landscape
Perform code reviews, scan for vulnerabilities, and test application boundaries
Identify security issues and provide remediation solutions
Advise on security best practices and configurations in Azure
Promote security awareness and integration throughout the SDLC
