Requirements

  • Master's degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 8-10 years of professional experience, preferably in formulating products in ACE & Footwear
  • Good understanding of marketing concepts and business processes
  • Managerial and leadership skills
  • Good presentation and human relationship skills
  • Ability to work in different cultures and languages (English mandatory)
  • Willingness to travel throughout Europe and the rest of the world for comprehensive customer visits

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all activities are conducted to the highest standards of Safety, Health, and Corporate Compliance, demonstrating commitment to the company’s safety culture
  • Efficiently manage a portfolio of development projects according to the project management process, including deciding on resource utilization to maximize value creation (mostly customer-related projects exploring new applications)
  • Design, coordinate, and execute development programs to deliver new technologies within agreed timescales, propose potential applications and value propositions, and define customer requirements for experimental programs
  • Manage and develop a team to support product development according to the Project Management Process across Elastomers projects
  • Build team competence to support and run customer trials with technical expertise
  • Maximize exploitation of existing and new technologies by managing identification and development of technology platforms
  • Ensure Intellectual Property, freedom to act, and patentability are investigated for all projects in cooperation with the IP department
  • Manage seamless integration with Elastomers marketing and commercialization teams for efficient project delivery
  • Provide transfer and support of new technologies and existing technology to other regions as appropriate
