Requirements

  • Approximately 10 years of experience in securities products, with an operations background and client-facing experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge and understanding of trade lifecycle for Asia, EMEA, and US markets
  • Strong team player who collaborates with others to drive operational efficiency
  • Self-motivated approach to work with a high work ethic and superior attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively, explain, and challenge as appropriate
  • Problem-solving skills to identify, understand, and address operational and technical issues
  • Growth mindset and passion for constant improvement and transformation
  • Must be authorized to work in Hong Kong, or alternatively in Australia if applying to Sydney
  • Onsite in Hong Kong or alternatively remote in Sydney; full-time employment

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and follow up unmatched trades and fail management
  • Handle clearing and settlement for global markets
  • Work with clients, brokers, and agent banks to send and manage trade settlements and facilitate timely matching of instructions
  • Identify patterns and resolve issues with trade settlements for failing trades to drive down aged fail volumes and reduce risk exposure
  • Manage reconciliation and reporting on a daily/weekly basis to ensure all transactions are accounted for and any outstanding positions and risk exposures are reported
  • Form part of the wider operational team working closely with middle office
  • Participate in projects and change initiatives
  • Drive the implementation of a front to back model to improve client experience and operational efficiency
