Requirements

  • Degree in Law, Compliance, Data Science, or Finance (desirable)
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive responsibility in compliance and/or risk management roles, including substantial experience within a multinational organization
  • Healthcare and/or FMCG industry experience (strongly preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years in compliance, auditing, internal control, or risk management (required); experience in a similar position is a plus
  • Ability to understand and analyze complex problems and translate findings into actionable recommendations
  • Ability to work independently with strong adaptability in a dynamic, multicultural environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex concepts clearly and develop creative content
  • Proven ability to manage relationships across functions and with external parties (e.g., suppliers)
  • Strong critical problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel 15–20% (on-site support to affiliates across APAC and internationally as needed)

Responsibilities

  • Implement, manage, and interpret compliance policies, procedures, and best practices across APAC to ensure alignment and operational efficiency
  • Partner with APAC affiliates to identify compliance risks, strengthen internal controls, and recommend business process improvements that enhance effectiveness and reduce complexity
  • Design, implement, and execute a comprehensive monitoring plan leveraging advanced data analytics to detect abnormal trends, identify potential compliance risks, and generate actionable insights for APAC leadership
  • Develop, deliver, and coordinate impactful education and communication/training initiatives focused on the Abbott Compliance Program, Code of Business Conduct, and global/local policies to foster a strong compliance culture
  • Organize and maintain ethics and compliance records, documents, and databases to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and audit readiness
  • Act as the APAC coordinator for OEC system implementations, updates, and enhancements, ensuring smooth adoption and user engagement
  • Provide on-site support to affiliates across APAC and internationally as needed
