Requirements

Excellent understanding of the manufacturing of products
Expert knowledge of the Processing and Analytical batch work orders
Ability to model and promote behaviors ensuring high-quality products and compliance with Abbott policies, procedures, local/statutory requirements, and regulatory requirements of countries to which products are shipped
Ability to initiate, manage, and make decisions impacting product quality
Ability to manage financial statements and budgetary responsibilities, including tracking, trending, and improving performance for overtime (OT), direct expenses, HPL, labor, year-over-year CIP, and material usage
Understanding of all key performance indicators
Ability to develop, drive, and lead execution of plans using team and support resources
Ability to develop plans and execute efforts to train and develop employees for improved laboratory capability and performance results
Ability to create a learning environment, support individual learning and development plans, coach, and direct individuals and teams to meet performance goals and objectives
Willingness to work 3rd shift in a 7-day multi-shift laboratory operation

Responsible for the overall results of a single shift of a 7-day multi-shift laboratory operation
Championing compliance with Abbott policies and procedures, meeting all local and statutory requirements, and adhering to regulatory requirements of countries to which products are shipped
Managing financial statements and budgetary responsibilities; sharing accountability for line budgetary decisions with direct manager
Tracking, trending, and continuously improving budgetary performance for overtime (OT), direct expenses, HPL, labor, year-over-year CIP, and material usage
Developing, driving, and leading the execution of plans through utilization and involvement of all team and support resources
Developing plans and executing efforts required to train and develop employees to improve overall laboratory capability and deliver performance results
Creating a learning environment and supporting individuals' learning and development plans
Coaching and directing individuals and teams to meet performance goals and objectives
Directly supervising team and leading staff
