Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Maths, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Experience in cyber threat incident handling, including investigating targeted threats like APTs, organized crime, and hacktivists, is required. A background in computer forensic analysis using various tools, understanding of systems administration and internals for countermeasure implementation, knowledge of network protocols and analysis tools, and the ability to perform static and dynamic malware analysis are necessary. Strong understanding of targeted attacks and customized tactical remediation is also required. Applicants must have valid work rights in Japan, as visa or relocation sponsorship is not available.
The Analyst will conduct monitoring and in-depth analysis of security alerts, exercising cyber incident handling processes across Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms. Responsibilities include performing remote remediation of malware or malicious activity, conducting high-level malware analysis, and developing/improving processes for cyber incident detection, triage, and countermeasure execution. The role involves producing high-quality written and verbal communications for stakeholders, demonstrating industry thought leadership through public speaking and content creation, contributing to internal capability uplift programs, serving as a technical escalation point and mentor, providing oversight and quality assurance for junior analysts, and assisting in the advancement of security processes and procedures.
