Candidates must possess a BS/BTech (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in deep learning and LLM work, 8 years in machine learning and statistical analysis, and 3 years of Python experience. Experience addressing challenges with incomplete, unrepresentative, and mislabeled data, working with large-scale distributed systems and statistical software like Spark, and selecting appropriate tools for data optimization problems is also required. A PhD or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline is preferred, along with proficiency in communicating analysis, experience with security and sensitive data systems, Databricks/MLflow, designing production-ready agentic systems, and at least one major deep learning framework (PyTorch, Tensorflow, Keras). Demonstrated leadership, self-direction, first-author publications at peer-reviewed conferences, competitive programming achievements, and working knowledge of health-tech systems are also preferred.
The Staff AI Researcher will develop AI solutions to improve healthcare, partnering with engineering and analytics teams to integrate AI technology into existing products and workflows. Responsibilities include harnessing knowledge from extensive medical data sets to train, fine-tune, and use AI models. Key duties involve building working prototypes with AI techniques for optimization, working with complex data sets to solve analysis problems, and redesigning current pipelines and systems for data and query needs. The role also includes implementing techniques for fine-tuning generative models for healthcare, developing evaluation metrics for AI/ML models, designing and implementing feature engineering pipelines, and setting engineering process standards for high-quality output. Delivering working POC solutions that balance speed, scalability, and time-to-market is also a core responsibility.
