Generative AI Annotation Operations Engineer
Sustainable TalentFull Time
Mid-level (3 to 4 years), Senior (5 to 8 years)
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in a relevant field, with a PhD being preferred. Strong coding skills are essential, and Java proficiency is highly desirable. Proven experience with large language/foundation models, including training, tuning, and applying modern GenAI techniques such as reinforcement learning, memory and context systems, retrieval augmentation, structured knowledge integration, optimization, and evaluation is required. A track record of delivering software features or products in a collaborative, product-led environment and a passion for emerging AI technologies are also necessary.
The AI Engineer will train, fine-tune, and evaluate large-language/foundation models using parameter-efficient techniques, reinforcement learning, and prompt engineering. They will build and enhance memory and context management systems, integrate structured knowledge sources, and develop capabilities for ingesting and processing diverse data types. Responsibilities also include optimizing inference and system performance, defining and implementing monitoring and evaluation frameworks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to turn experimental techniques into stable, scalable product features. The role involves hands-on coding, prototyping, and direct implementation, with some work in Java.
Data management platform for data pipelines
Matillion offers a data management platform that helps data teams build, manage, and orchestrate data pipelines efficiently. The platform features a usage-based pricing model, allowing clients to pay only for the services they use, which supports scalability. It integrates artificial intelligence to enhance productivity, including the use of large language models and automatic documentation generation. With a library of connectors for various data sources, Matillion simplifies complex data transformations and provides a unified view of all data pipelines.
