Requirements

Currently studying towards a Degree in Aerospace engineering, Aeronautical engineering, Mechanical engineering, Production/Manufacturing engineering, Mathematics or Physics
Have studied aerodynamics and propulsion based modules (such as Fluid Dynamics, Thermodynamics, Aircraft Performance, Flight Dynamics & Control etc.)
Right to work in the UK (unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visa)
Able to achieve required medical and national security clearance (HMG Basic Personnel as a minimum)

Responsibilities

Work on design of missiles across different development stages (concept, assessment, development, in-service)
Apply and develop bespoke tools alongside commercial software to evaluate airframe performance
Explore stealth, propulsion, thermal and structural aspects of missile design in a multi-disciplinary approach
Assess missile integration onto land, naval and air platforms
Evaluate integration of solid rocket motors and air-breathing engines into missile airframes and their impact on aerodynamics and performance
Undertake a self-contained project applying university knowledge to industry-specific problems, delivering relevant conclusions to the aerodynamics team
