Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience and currently possess a state insurance license as required by the State Department of Insurance. They should demonstrate the ability to learn appropriate insurance company and firm software systems, possess moderate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel (preferred), and moderate to advanced knowledge of Salesforce (preferred).
The Advisor generates new client relationships and maintains existing client relationships by identifying and capturing market opportunities, presenting proposals in a professional manner, finalizing sales, coordinating premium collection, arranging for binders and certificates, and meeting or exceeding monthly new business goals. They will develop prospects through community involvement, seminars, networking, and referrals, develop information for prospective clients, and adhere to organizational policies and procedures. Additionally, they will maintain an understanding of insurance industry and underwriting criteria, identify and solicit sales prospects, positively represent the Firm and Insurance Company Partners in the community, perform other assigned functions, and look for opportunities to improve processes and bring issues to leadership.
