Candidates must possess a Series 7 license, a Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field, and a minimum of 3-5 years of financial services experience encompassing both brokerage and advisory investment platforms. Demonstrated investment knowledge and understanding of markets, products, platforms, and services are essential, along with the ability to assess client financial situations and analyze portfolios to develop and implement comprehensive plans aligned with client goals.
The Financial Planning Business Consultant will enhance field productivity and profitability by partnering with financial advisors to build and grow integrated planning practices, providing in-depth consultation and support on financial planning, sales processes, products, and implementation. They will identify and develop best practices, tools, training, and resources, lead projects to enhance centralized service models, drive adoption of Northwestern Mutual’s planning and investment philosophies, and support the growth of integrated advisors. The role involves consulting with advisors on financial planning, product options, suitability, and investment concepts, analyzing clients’ financial goals, documenting case notes, developing recommendation options, coaching on client presentations, leading training and education, analyzing workflows, and addressing program implementation obstacles to enhance retention and productivity.
