Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility
No prior RN dialysis experience required (entry-level position)

Responsibilities

Performs all essential functions under the direction of the Program Manager and with guidance from the Educator, Preceptor, or an Inpatient CAP RN 2, 3, 4, or 5 for the first 6 months
Completes requirements to advance to the next Inpatient CAP level within 24 months of hire
Collects and analyzes patient data pre-, during-, and post-treatment, documenting in the medical record
Adjusts or modifies the treatment plan as indicated and notifies the Program Manager, physician, patient's primary nurse, and others as needed
Recognizes patient status variations and reports to or collaborates with appropriate healthcare team members
Assesses daily assigned patient care needs and collaborates with direct and ancillary staff
Provides safe and effective patient care for assigned patients as prescribed for all modality-specific treatment procedures
Initiates and coordinates communication with FKC and Non-FKC dialysis providers and hospital personnel
