Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing

Responsibilities

Performs assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care
Documents patient data and adjusts treatment plans as needed
Performs ongoing data collection and analysis
Assesses patient/family learning needs and provides initial and ongoing education
Collaborates with the healthcare team (Supervisor, Physician, primary nurse, etc.)
Communicates with Fresenius Kidney Care and other dialysis providers
Initiates and coordinates communication with contracted facility personnel
Administers and monitors intradialytic transfusions, reporting adverse reactions
Administers medications as prescribed and documents justification and effectiveness
Initiates and assists with emergency response measures
Serves as a resource for the healthcare team
Participates in staff training and orientation
Provides specialized nursing care instruction to hospital/facility staff as assigned
Provides and coordinates clinically competent care for assigned patients, including delegation of tasks to other patient care staff
Participates in decision-making, education, leadership, and quality improvement
