Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in corporate accounting and strong revenue accounting experience, including practical knowledge of ASC 606. Familiarity with Accounts Receivable, billing, and collections operations is required, and cash management, banking, and treasury experience are a plus. A CPA is preferred. Experience in startups is strongly preferred, and healthcare industry experience is a plus. Proficiency with NetSuite ERP is necessary, and experience with grant accounting and compliance is a plus. The candidate should be skilled at building processes from scratch, designing scalable systems, improving efficiency, and be a strong communicator comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

The Accounting Manager will lead the monthly revenue close process, ensuring timely and accurate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606. Responsibilities include managing general ledger activities, reconciliations, and month-end close, owning invoicing, collections, and AR management to improve working capital, and overseeing cash management, wires, and treasury operations. The role involves serving as the primary contact for revenue- and AR-related audit matters, designing and implementing scalable accounting policies and procedures, and partnering with Sales and Legal on revenue policies and operations. Additionally, the manager will identify and execute opportunities to automate processes, reduce close timelines, improve data accuracy, provide subject matter expertise for special projects, and build reporting and analytics for revenue performance and A/R health.
