Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field from an accredited college or university, with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Previous work or classroom experience in accounting or finance is preferred, and employer immigration sponsorship is not available for this role.
As an Accounting Intern, the candidate will assist with accounting related to Northwestern Mutual’s Wealth subsidiaries, the Wealth Management Company (WMC), and Northwestern Mutual Investment Services (NMIS), preparing financial and compliance reports, analysis, and disclosures to meet all reporting requirements. The intern will also participate in professional development workshops, senior leadership Q&A’s, volunteer initiatives, networking/social events, and contribute to Northwestern Mutual’s success alongside their hiring manager, mentor, and team.
