Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with proven experience as an Accountant with a strong focus on QuickBooks, tax returns, payroll returns, and bookkeeping. Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software is required, as is a strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and payroll processes. Professional certification, such as a CPA, is considered a plus.
The Accountant/Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining and updating financial records using QuickBooks, preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, managing payroll processing and preparing payroll returns accurately and timely, performing general bookkeeping tasks including recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and generating financial reports, assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, monitoring and analyzing financial data to identify discrepancies and resolve any issues, collaborating with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, staying updated with changes in tax laws and accounting regulations, and providing support during audits and liaising with external auditors as needed.
