Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
  • CPA designation preferred, but not required
  • 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience, with significant experience in fixed asset accounting
  • Strong knowledge of accrual accounting principles, GAAP compliance, and internal control standards
  • Experience with Sage Intacct or other ERP systems is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with Google Workspace preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated adaptability, teamwork, and a proactive mindset

Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for key balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Execute month-end and quarter-end close activities accurately and timely
  • Maintain and reconcile prepaid asset schedules and related journal entries
  • Own fixed asset accounting, including recording additions, transfers, and disposals of non-solar assets
  • Review asset entries for accuracy and validate monthly depreciation expense calculations
  • Prepare and maintain inter-company accounting schedules
  • Prepare and maintain fixed asset roll-forward schedules by legal entity
  • Provide documentation and support for external audits and internal inquiries related to fixed assets and other key accounts
  • Assist in the development, documentation, and ongoing refinement of SOPs for owned processes
  • Conduct periodic spot audits to assess effectiveness of internal controls
  • Support the preparation of monthly internal financial reports and ad-hoc analyses as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership
