Requirements

Candidates should possess confirmed sales experience, preferably in the research laboratory industry, with a strong understanding of the current marketplace for laboratory equipment, consumables, and/or chemicals. A Bachelor’s degree in the sciences or equivalent work experience is required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and the Web, and knowledge of Salesforce.com software is a plus. A full driver’s license and the ability to travel up to 80% of the time to customer locations and attend regional and national meetings are also necessary. Fluency in both written and spoken Dutch and English is required.

Responsibilities

The Account Manager is accountable for the sales of scientific products and services within a defined segment/territory, serving customers engaged in research and development. They will build and implement a strong strategic and tactical sales plan and pricing strategy to achieve revenue and gross margin objectives, develop and maintain impactful customer relationships, communicate the segment-specific Fisher Scientific value proposition to key customers, and bring innovative solutions to customers to generate revenue. The Account Manager will also improve selling time, efficiently delegate non-sales-related activities, maintain a high level of professional business knowledge, update reporting tools, work closely with fellow sales team members, establish relationships with key suppliers, complete personal administration, actively seek self-development, and apply PPI principles to improve processes.
