Account Manager - West Midlands

Employment Type: Full-time Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours per week Location: Field based covering the West Midlands - Birmingham, Stoke, Wolverhampton, Stafford.


Position Overview

Tandem is a UK's greener digital bank revolutionizing how we save, borrow, spend, and share, with a mission to nurture the planet, its people, and its customers. We are seeking an ambitious and dedicated Account Manager to create and maintain relationships with introducing used car dealers, attend face-to-face appointments, conduct negotiations, and offer competitive finance terms. The role requires meeting individual targets and adhering to company policies.


Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Creating quality used car dealer relationships within your geographical area.
  • Account Management: Managing existing used car dealers to ensure they meet their sales and efficiency targets.
  • Attending face-to-face dealer onsite meetings and negotiations to offer competitive finance facilities to used car dealers.
  • Offering excellent customer service.
  • Being an active team player.
  • Achieving business targets and personal objectives.
  • Attending 1-to-1s and team meetings in any of our office locations (typically held in Cardiff/Blackpool).

Requirements

  • Effective communication styles and methods used to interact with used car dealers.
  • Ability to work independently, setting priorities and taking a lead role.
  • Preparedness to take accountability for your own performance.
  • Clear, fair, and non-misleading verbal and written communication with customers.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a target-driven environment with strong task prioritization skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time/diary management skills.
  • Ability to research, digest, analyze, and present material clearly and concisely to senior management and director level.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive and strategic thinking in a fast-moving environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to a wide variety of tasks and willingness to work extra hours when required to meet deadlines and deal with client queries.
  • Ability to present to motor dealers of all sizes and types.

Desirable Experience:

  • Previous experience in motor finance or associated businesses within the motor industry.
  • Good understanding of the digital marketplace within the motor finance industry.
  • Understanding of the regulatory environment within the motor industry.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: Up to £47,500
  • Bonus: Up to 20% discretionary bonus
  • Car Allowance: £600 per month
