Past Structured Credit experience is helpful, but not required

Responsibilities

Perform due diligence on prospective investments within the credit space, with a focus on Structured Credit, including meeting with potential borrowers, doing deep dives on the business, industry/strategy research, financial modeling, and putting together investment materials
Work with other members of the Investment Team to diligence and underwrite investment opportunities, leveraging Blackstone’s various groups where appropriate
Build comprehensive financial models and evaluate various cases and types of deal structures
Draft and present memorandums for Investment Committees
Monitor existing investments including tracking KPIs and continuously challenging the validity of the investment thesis
Think creatively about ways to improve the team’s existing processes
