Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an accredited Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational and Environmental Health Sciences, Environmental and Ecological Engineering, Environmental and Natural Resources Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Natural Resources and Environmental Science, or related Environmental Health and Safety discipline (must obtain degree before start)
  • Minimum 30 completed semester hours before the start of the internship
  • If transfer student, minimum 12 semester hours completed at a 4-year university
  • Minimum 2.8/4.0 Cumulative Grade Point Average (no rounding) at current institution
  • Ability to relocate to indicated work location for the duration of the internship and complete daily work commute using reliable transportation
  • Analytical skills, initiating ideas, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities
  • Ability to organize and manage projects simultaneously, quickly gain and effectively apply new skills & knowledge
  • Success in collaborating with others of diverse cultures, interpersonal styles, and abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside EHS professionals on project work within teams
  • Participate in safety and environmental culture initiatives
  • Contribute to development of proactive programs
  • Assist in delivery of EHS learning to facilities worldwide
  • Conduct trend analysis of global environmental or safety data in line with Sustainability Goals
  • Engage in team and business partner interactions to enhance business skills
  • Develop abilities, give presentations, and build connections with EHS peers and leaders
  • Join a team with diverse project responsibilities (40-hour-per-week assignment lasting 12 weeks)
