Responsibilities
- Support an appropriately staffed team in a broad range of transactions including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, royalty monetizations, and capital markets transactions
- Provide deliverables relied upon by senior bankers to help clients
- Complete special projects as assigned by staffers and senior bankers
- Work on multiple assignments in all stages of the deal lifecycle, from idea generation to formal assignment pitching to executing a deal
- Create detailed financial models used for valuation and financial analysis (DCF, LBO, M&A, accretion/dilution, comparable company, and precedent transaction analysis)
- Prepare marketing documents, including pitch materials, confidential offering memoranda, management presentations, fairness opinions, and board presentations
- Conduct extensive financial and industry due diligence to evaluate the risk/return parameters of a transaction
- Support senior bankers in relationship development responsibilities, including interaction with current and prospective clients and new idea generation
- Participate in client meetings, due diligence visits, and other client interactions to gain exposure to key executives and senior bankers
