Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass internal forklift operator certification
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience operating a Stand-Up Forklift in a warehouse or similar environment
  • Strong understanding of company and OSHA safety protocols and guidelines for forklift operation
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport grocery products throughout the warehouse, including loading and unloading trucks, moving pallets, and stacking products in designated storage areas
  • Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed, ensuring accurate tracking and recording of product movements within the warehouse
  • Collaborate with warehouse team members to fulfill customer orders by accurately picking and staging products for shipment, following established procedures and safety guidelines
  • Adhere to all company safety protocols and guidelines for forklift operation, including conducting pre-operational checks, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and reporting any safety hazards or incidents to management
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and other equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance or repair needs to maintenance personnel
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse supervisors and team members to coordinate workflow, prioritize tasks, and address any issues or concerns related to forklift operations
