Requirements
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Compliance, or a related field, and have at least 7 years of experience in risk and compliance, with a strong focus on operational risk and control frameworks. Demonstrated experience working across the three lines of defense is essential, along with a deep understanding of risk management principles and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
The Issues Management Framework Lead will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Issue Management Policy and Standard across Northern Trust, supporting a community of Issue Managers and Issue Owners. This includes creating job aids, procedures, and training materials, coordinating with partners, utilizing GRC systems, and establishing communities of practice for ongoing oversight and learning. The role involves answering questions from partners regarding the Issue Management Lifecycle, working closely with senior executives to escalate implementation and compliance concerns, and driving transformation and change across the organization to enhance processes and controls.
