Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field, and have at least 5 years of demonstrated, hands-on experience managing money transfer licensing and compliance, including applications, renewals, and reporting, specifically using the NMLS platform. A strong understanding of state and federal regulations related to money transmission is required, along with experience managing surety bond requirements associated with state licensing.

Responsibilities

The Compliance Officer - Manager will manage the licensing process for money transfer operations across multiple jurisdictions, including submitting applications, maintaining licenses, and managing the surety bond portfolio. They will monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable licensing-related state and federal regulations, maintain accurate records of licenses and filings, develop and implement compliance policies and procedures, serve as a point of contact for regulatory agencies, prepare and submit regulatory reports, stay updated on regulatory changes, and collaborate with legal and compliance teams. Additionally, the role involves providing guidance and training to staff, assisting in managing regulatory examinations, and addressing regulatory inquiries and issues.
