Requirements

Candidates should possess 7+ years of sourcing experience within the IT hardware, IaaS, and global support/maintenance services categories, including cost modeling, supplier negotiation, and presenting recommendations to stakeholders and Executive Leadership. They should have experience working with industry-leading suppliers such as Dell, Cisco, Juniper, IBM, Apple, Lenovo, and value-added resellers, as well as experience within the client and peripherals/consumables sourcing category. Knowledge of hardware leasing and purchasing/supply chain processes, along with an analytical and results-focused approach, is also required.

Responsibilities

The Strategic Sourcing Manager – IT Hardware will be responsible for Category Management and Contract Execution, partnering with stakeholders to clarify sourcing requirements and leading supplier negotiation strategies. They will also lead supplier relationship management, crafting unique strategies and managing RFx processes, conducting TCO modeling, and presenting RFx results. Furthermore, the role involves competitive benchmarking, market research, collaborating on sustainability initiatives with internal teams, monitoring demand, and driving year-over-year savings on over $600M spend through supplier selection. Finally, they will develop sourcing plans, create RFPs, and advise stakeholders on market dynamics, ensuring best value supplier selection and fostering strong internal and external relationships.
