Candidates should possess a positive, can-do attitude, detail-orientation, be well organized, and have the ability to work effectively under pressure. They should also have excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills, the ability to develop and maintain positive rapport with a diverse employee/customer population, and the ability to accomplish assignments. A high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training is required, along with the ability to work overtime as a job requirement dependent of department needs, as well as occasional weekend, holiday or evening work.
The Yard Specialist will perform a variety of manual tasks in the yard in support of the entire Branch operation, maintaining good order and cleanliness of the yard. They will assist Rental, Parts, and Service Departments as needed, greet customers in the yard and direct them, assist delivery drivers in loading and unloading products, help with washing and/or performing light maintenance on equipment, verify fuel consumed and inspect equipment condition, install service tags, move equipment to storage areas, and give customers start/stop instructions and general operating information on rental equipment.
