Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • For Asst Assoc (SP20-002): 9 months of post-high school experience utilizing administrative procedures and office equipment
  • For Asst (SP20-003): 3 years of post-high school experience utilizing administrative procedures and office equipment or equivalent (normally obtained by progression through Work Scheduling Rep Assoc)
  • For Senior (SP20-004): 6 years of post-high school experience utilizing administrative procedures and office equipment or equivalent (normally obtained by progression through Work Scheduling Asst)
  • Organizational and analytic/problem-solving skills
  • Prioritization skills
  • Customer focus and teamwork
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • For Asst (SP20-003) and Senior: Demonstrated proficiency with computers and computer programs
  • Availability for overtime (all levels; Asst and Senior specify call out overtime and shift work as required)
  • Occasional travel may be required (all levels; Asst specifies 10-25%)
  • Must reside within 25 miles of onsite work location
  • For Senior: Basic knowledge of distribution operations and other departments within the AEP system preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties in the work scheduling process, including assigning jobs to line servicer personnel using management system applications
  • Develop schedules for line servicer and technician appointments
  • Communicate with customers and direct inquiries
  • Support adherence to standard work scheduling policies and procedures
  • Assist with outage management as needed
  • Provide administrative support as needed
