Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or coursework in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field preferred
  • Proven experience as a technician or assembler, preferably in a high-tech, aerospace, or manufacturing/engineering environment
  • Proficiency in wire harness assembly techniques, including soldering, crimping, and connector termination
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles and systems
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Meticulous attention to detail and precision
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced startup environment with a proactive attitude
  • Moderate computer proficiency (Excel, Slack, Email)
  • IPC-620 WHMA certification is a plus
  • Soldering experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Construct, route, and install wire harnesses according to engineering schematics and specifications
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers and team members to integrate wire harnesses into vessel components (e.g., propulsion systems, sensors, communication devices)
  • Conduct thorough inspections of wire harness assemblies for accuracy, functionality, and compliance with standards
  • Identify and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues during assembly and testing, implementing solutions
  • Maintain detailed records of assembly procedures, modifications, and testing results
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (electrical engineers, mechanical technicians, project managers) to meet project milestones and timelines
