Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or coursework in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field preferred
Proven experience as a technician or assembler, preferably in a high-tech, aerospace, or manufacturing/engineering environment
Proficiency in wire harness assembly techniques, including soldering, crimping, and connector termination
Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles and systems
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
Meticulous attention to detail and precision
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced startup environment with a proactive attitude
Moderate computer proficiency (Excel, Slack, Email)
IPC-620 WHMA certification is a plus
Soldering experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Construct, route, and install wire harnesses according to engineering schematics and specifications
Collaborate with mechanical engineers and team members to integrate wire harnesses into vessel components (e.g., propulsion systems, sensors, communication devices)
Conduct thorough inspections of wire harness assemblies for accuracy, functionality, and compliance with standards
Identify and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues during assembly and testing, implementing solutions
Maintain detailed records of assembly procedures, modifications, and testing results
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations
Work closely with cross-functional teams (electrical engineers, mechanical technicians, project managers) to meet project milestones and timelines
