Requirements

  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Windows systems, including approved vendor hardware and software
  • Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems installation, documentation, and configuration
  • Familiarity with Operational Acceptance Testing, Service Integration, scalability, capacity, resiliency, and reliability
  • Ability to review designs and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc
  • Experience designing and implementing multi-site Windows Active Directory infrastructure
  • Proficiency in system monitoring to ensure SLA compliance, including thresholds and alerts
  • Skills in reacting to events, escalation procedures, and providing statistical reports
  • Capability to act as 2nd line technical support and participate in deployment changes via change control processes
  • Expertise in monitoring system logs, troubleshooting, issue resolution, and using Service Manager applications
  • Availability for 24/7 on-call support
  • Knowledge of intermediate system maintenance, including patch management, firmware management, and OS upgrades
  • Understanding of providing out-of-hours support for changes and maintenance
  • Familiarity with investigating security breaches, security monitoring, system access reviews, PCI standards, and industry best practices
  • Experience reviewing and maintaining disaster recovery systems, including testing
  • Ability to interact with client service representatives, team members, and provide technical support and documentation

Responsibilities

  • Install, document, and configure Windows Operating Systems
  • Assist in Operational Acceptance Testing and evaluations as part of Service Integration
  • Assist team members in maintenance functions
  • Review basic designs and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc
  • Design and implement multi-site Windows Active Directory infrastructure
  • Monitor systems to ensure availability per SLAs and maintain monitoring systems
  • React and respond to events per escalation procedures
  • Provide statistical information for datacentre management updates
  • Act as 2nd line technical support
  • Participate in deployment changes per change control process and manage change tickets
  • Monitor and review system logs, detect/troubleshoot problems, escalate issues, and support resolution using Service Manager
  • Provide feedback and updates to Incident resolution teams
  • Provide 24/7 on-call support
  • Conduct intermediate system maintenance (patch management, firmware, OS upgrades)
  • Provide out-of-hours support for pre-arranged changes and maintenance
  • Assist in investigating security breaches and inspecting issues per Information Security guidelines
  • Review system access per security practices and maintain systems for PCI and industry standards
  • Review availability of disaster recovery systems, maintain code/configuration/documentation, and perform regular DR testing
  • Interact with client service representatives and team members, provide supporting documentation, attend status calls, and offer technical support
  • Participate in evaluation of supported or maintained systems
