Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant fabrication experience (welding, shearing, sawing, grinding, and cutting)
  • Self-starter that is well organized, disciplined, team player and well versed in structural analysis
  • Good team communication skills
  • Working knowledge of basic hand tools
  • Knowledge of cutting operations
  • GMAW of steel (short circuit & pulse transfer)
  • FCAW of steel
  • GTAW of steel, aluminum, & stainless steel
  • Google G-Suite including drive, mail, calendar, docs, sheets, slides, charts, hangouts; slack, application lifecycle
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities: close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to wear proper ear protection due to noise levels

Responsibilities

  • Proficient in assigned fabrication techniques
  • Knowledge of wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys, aluminum, and some exotic materials
  • Working knowledge of fixtures and fabrication set-up parameters
  • Use of conventional and precision measuring instruments
  • Process inspection, certification, and documentation
  • Equipment maintenance
  • Safety and Housekeeping
  • Other duties as assigned by the area lead
  • Support fabricating/modifying test fixtures, tooling, structures, vehicles, and planes in R&D and Production
