Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Mig and stick welding vocation training (desired, but not required)
  • Ability to pass an internal welding test
  • Ability to read a tape measure and blueprints
  • Proficiency with air, power, and hand tools, including torches and grinders
  • Mechanical inclination
  • Ability to stand, crouch, and/or bend for 10+ hours per day
  • Ability to lift a maximum of 40 lbs
  • Ability to use overhead crane for larger items
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion – tightening bolts and nuts

Responsibilities

  • Welding and fabrication of conveyor components
  • Compliance with all safety rules and regulations
  • Utilization and embrace of lean manufacturing activities and other cost reduction activities
  • Performing other duties as assigned
  • Working assigned shift and overtime as needed (including weekends)
  • 1st shift: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Monday - Thursday); Friday overtime expected
