Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in Warehousing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Materials Management, or business relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred (demonstrated professional warehousing experience can be considered in lieu of degree)
  • 5 plus years’ experience managing warehouse operations in the Petrochemical industry preferred
  • Proficient in use of SAP and MS Office
  • BS from an accredited University preferred (Supply Chain Management focus preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

  • Supervise warehouse technicians, perform material controls and material processing as required, ensuring that the expected standards of job performance and safety are met
  • Provide oversight on warehouse daily operations across multiple onsite facilities including the management of goods receipts, goods issues, picklists, cycle counting, stock put away, logistics, catalyst, and quality control/assurance
  • Maintain high Health, Environment, Safety & Security (HES&S) standards; lead and participate in activities supporting HES&S commitments. Ensure that employees/vendors adhere to safe practices and follow requirements in the storage and transportation of materials
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies, procedures, guidelines and requirements related to warehousing and materials management
  • Establish warehouse strategies and organizational goals; develop/track key performance indicators (KPI); run and provide material status reports to site stakeholders; utilize root cause analysis to improve performance
  • Develop short- and long-term plans to increase the efficiency and optimization of warehousing functions and inventory; engage the workforce in pursuing continuous improvement efforts; strive to achieve best in class status
  • Ensure cycle count goals are met and 100% complete by year end
  • Provide support to auditors (Internal Control, HES&S, etc.); develop responses to address any deficiencies
  • Provide support, resources and oversight for the Supply Chain process and control monthly and quarterly self-audits
  • Oversee training programs for warehouse employees/contractors. Ensure employees/contractors maintain required training and certifications
  • Support internal Business Partners (Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, etc.)
  • Collaborate and effectively communicate to create robust, sustainable relationships. Be proactive and understand organizational needs and plan/align material management strategies to business partner goals
  • Optimize and maintain facilities (warehouses, laydown yards, chemical/catalyst storage areas, temporary storage areas, offsite storage locations); ensure stationery and mobile equipment are maintained and replaced as necessary
  • Coordinate with Warehouse Manager in developing warehouse budget; maintain financial discipline to meet the budget
  • Identify and report any Supply Chain Synergies and Cost Savings (Benefits Capture) in support of departmental goals
