Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must pass a functional capacity test
  • Ability to operate forklift/pallet jack and cherry picker
  • Ability to lift 40-60 pounds repeatedly each shift
  • Ability to bend, stoop, climb, stand and twist for extended periods of time
  • Ability to successfully complete forklift training/certification requirements
  • Ability to operate a Radio Frequency (RF) or Voice Pick devices
  • Preferred: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Preferred: Previous knowledge of SAP
  • Preferred: One year warehouse experience
  • Preferred: Previous forklift certification
  • Preferred: 6 months of previous warehouse experience and/or training
  • Preferred: Material handling equipment experience
  • Preferred: Reach truck experience
  • Ability to work a varying schedule including night shift (Sun-Thu 5:00p - 1:30am or finished, up to 2 hours/day OT), weekdays, weekends, and some holidays

Responsibilities

  • Accurately select/pick merchandise from assigned slot and confirm the correct quantity and unit of measure
  • Load merchandise into appropriate truck
  • Drop merchandise for "reserve" to "pick" slots
  • Prepare VIA merchandise for shipment on freight lines
  • Repack loose merchandise for shipping/delivery
  • Verify quality of product, packaging and adherence to vendor compliance policy
  • Accurately adhere to Warehouse Labor Standard, “Preferred Method Standard”
  • Identify and report slot and put-away problems
  • Shrink wrap merchandise/pallets after picking as needed
  • Perform housekeeping duties as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned
