Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to client needs within the shelter
- Participate in case management meetings and therapy groups
- Create and facilitate psycho-educational groups, classes, and house meetings
- Answer 24-hour hotlines and provide crisis support and advocacy as required
- Ensure shelter facilities are prepared for new clients
- Complete necessary documentation for clients, including assessments and consent forms
- Provide crisis intervention support to clients as needed
- Organize and pick up donations for the shelter
- Assist with grocery shopping and shelter upkeep
- Perform outdoor landscaping and snow removal tasks
- Collaborate with the Volunteer Coordinator and DV staff to identify volunteer strengths and utilize them effectively in the program
- Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor or DV staff
