Requirements

  • Strong preference for CFA charter-holder; MBA a plus
  • Minimum of ten years of investment consulting/HNW/institutional advisory experience preferred
  • Proven track record and desire to identify and establish links with clients’ investment decision makers
  • Detailed knowledge of mutual funds and other investment vehicles typically used by defined contribution plans or institutional investors
  • Excellent understanding of the economy, financial markets, and their drivers
  • Ability to explain the interaction of various asset classes and equity styles in particular market cycles and relate that to the performance of the funds
  • Ability to establish and build relationships and be seen as a go-to person for clients’ retirement investment needs
  • Excellent presentation skills and presence
  • Series 07 - FINRA certification
  • Series 66 - FINRA certification
  • Reside in the Northeast region of the U.S. (e.g., MA, CT, ME, RI, VT, NH, NY, or regional sites in Smithfield, RI or Merrimack, NH)

Responsibilities

  • Work with Fidelity’s defined contribution clients to build and maintain plan investment lineups that meet plan sponsor requirements and help plan participants reach desired retirement outcomes
  • Interface with clients’ investment committees, including officers in Treasury, Finance (including CFOs), Legal, HR, and Corporate functions, as well as third-party advisors and consultants
  • Effectively communicate investment topics and trends to help plan sponsors make informed decisions about their retirement plan investments
  • Build influential relationships with senior-level employees of clients and influence decisions
  • Use background in 401(k) plan menu design to become a trusted resource
  • Position Fidelity’s products and services with clients
  • Help solidify overall relationships with clients and be seen as a key member of the service team
  • Focus on clients in the East region of the U.S. (with flexibility on location within the Northeast region)
