  • 10+ years of professional lines insurance claims experience
  • Management experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage a claims team handling broker dealer claims, including direct handling of claims as needed
  • Train and develop claims adjusters in all areas of claims handling, including investigation, coverage, litigation management, evaluation, reserving and negotiation
  • Assure compliance with Best Practices and departmental policies and procedures
  • Keep abreast of litigation trends and regulatory updates affecting professional liability
  • Make presentations to senior management on high severity or complex matters and trends
  • Analyze claims trends and statistics to assist the business in proactively managing risks and exposures
  • Work closely with Underwriting counterparts in risk analysis and account meetings
