Candidates should possess a Veterinary Technician license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least one year of experience as a veterinary technician, with preference given to candidates with additional experience in a specialty hospital setting. Strong clinical skills and the ability to administer anesthesia are essential, along with proficiency in medical math and IV catheter placement.
As a Veterinary Technician Specialist at GSVServices, you will administer and monitor anesthesia, triage patients as needed, set up CRIs and calculate medical math, place IV catheters and institute fluid therapy, maintain accurate treatment sheets and anesthesia records, and obtain and prepare various blood samples for diagnostic testing, contributing directly to the comprehensive medical care of patients under the direction of a veterinarian.
