Requirements

  • Experience working as a Credentialed Veterinary Technician
  • A strong desire to learn and apply knowledge/skills learned to daily work life
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and oral
  • Ability to demonstrate technical procedures as outlined in the technician protocols
  • Demonstrate reliability and follow-through with all work-related tasks / projects

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and appropriately document patient vital signs and activity
  • Provide support to all veterinarians and assist other departments as requested
  • Run anesthetic procedures and monitor patients
  • Use of ventilators, anesthetic machines, monitoring devices, and MRI
  • Provide comfort, diagnostic, surgical and nursing care to all patients
  • Obtain and prepare samples for diagnostic testing including but not limited to blood draws, arterial blood gas sampling, urinary catheter sampling and free catch urine
  • Properly use and maintain medical equipment
  • Provide professional client communication and run patient appointments
