Requirements

Experience as Certified Veterinary Technician, advanced degree, or background in veterinary supervisor/lead role desired
5+ years working within veterinary setting required
Supervisory experience preferred
Cultivate a positive atmosphere and demonstrate a friendly and courteous attitude with all coworkers
Maintain excellent communication skills for professionalism and effectiveness with clients and coworkers
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and delegate
Proficiency in computer skills
Organized and detail oriented for efficiency and accuracy
Ability to work in high stress situations and exercise good judgment
Oversight of equipment issues including Cubex
Availability for Wednesday - Saturday, 12pm - 10:30pm (or 8am to 7pm per schedule note)

Responsibilities

Lead the clinical team to provide high-quality, comprehensive, accessible, supportive, and compassionate care
Ensure adequate staffing levels and support staff across designated departments
Serve as liaison between leadership and staff
Support and exemplify the mission, vision, and core values of the company
Participate in and help organize staffing, schedules, team member breaks, and review of time and attendance records
Coach, train, and mentor staff
Understand workflow of the department(s)
Provide input with problem-solving efforts for daily operations
Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships across the hospital
Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, communication, and cooperation among team members
Serve as the hospital “go to” for patient, client, and team member needs, including escalated/stressful situations
Collaborate with staff at all levels and departments to streamline services without compromising care or hospitality
Participate in onboarding of staff and performance reviews
Coordinate required training and skills of staff
