Requirements

5-8 years’ experience as an expert UX Designer, Interaction Designer, and mid-level mentor
Strong Portfolio with examples of high-fidelity comps, workflows, wired prototype boards, and user flows / user journey mapping artifacts (only candidates with strong portfolios will be considered; include access if password protected)
Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with Figma Make prompt-to-design
Familiar with AI Prompts, AI Agents, Agentic workflows, GenAI, ChatGPT, etc
Extensive experience working with established design systems and design libraries, following established interaction design patterns
Knowledge of UX principles such as Fitts’s Law, Miller’s Law, Hick’s Law
Experience with data and/or analytic pipelines, in or out of FinTech
Affinity for data visualization or willingness to learn
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including delivering presentations and communicating across organization levels
Ability to influence decision-making at all levels and across contexts
Comfortable with ambiguity and finding signal from noise
Hunger for UX, emerging technologies, AI, LLMs, smart UI, complex UI
Curiosity as a technologist at heart
Availability until 12 noon EDT to collaborate with US-based teams (NYC time zone)

Responsibilities

Interview users / stakeholders and extract information through inquisitive, thoughtful, and tactical questioning
Author user flows, user journeys, and journey maps
Prototype using a pre-defined UI pattern library using Figma
Design high fidelity comps and prototypes primarily using Figma
Collaborate with the Aladdin Design Team to apply UX governance across projects and evolve BlackRock design patterns where gaps arise
Assist on UX Research: develop action tracking framework to monitor user actions, behaviors, patterns; ideate new experiences to automate cyclical, high-value user actions through predictive behavioral analysis and UX-related automations
Guide technologists on user scenarios to track and introduce ideas/methods to decrease time to task completion, optimize processes and workflows
Innovate, conceptualize, design, and pilot new capabilities to simplify clients’ business problems
Work closely with stakeholders, end users, full stack developers, systems engineers, front-end developers, data scientists, financial modelers, program managers, platform operators, and client teams to design, prototype, define product strategy and roadmap
Work within a multi-disciplinary team to drive the firm's platform transformation strategy
Drive the product from strategic vision to roadmaps to design execution
Drive alignment and transparency of vision, engaging with internal partners and end-users
Partner with program managers and engineering leads to drive execution sprint-by-sprint across the product lifecycle
Champion internal initiatives and drive new ways of working across the team
Collaborate with local India teams and US-based teams
