Requirements

Minimum of 6 months of experience in an industrial, manufacturing, construction, or landscaping environment
One year of continuous employment with the most recent employer
Ability to obtain a PIT license
Ability to stand, walk, talk or hear regularly
Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell frequently
Ability to sit occasionally
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly, up to 100 pounds occasionally, and more than 100 pounds in rare cases
Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Tolerance for work environment including moving mechanical parts, high/precarious places, fumes/airborne particles, outside weather, extreme cold/heat, vibration, wet/humid conditions, risk of electrical shock, and very loud noise
Commitment to safety practices: keep work area clean, use PPE, use correct tools, report injuries/hazards, inspect tools/materials, follow safety rules

Responsibilities

Receive training and perform duties in several departments such as Raw Receiving, Load Out, and Feather Loader/Cook
Learn plant proper operating procedures and practices in each department
Assist in setting individual performance goals and objectives with Supervisor
Observe experienced workers to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards for departmental duties
Receive training in functions and operations of all departments to facilitate transferability and job opportunities
Attend company-sponsored training classes
Abide by all company Safety, QA, and Human Resource policies
