Requirements

Minimum of 6 months of experience in an industrial, manufacturing, construction, or landscaping environment
One year of continuous employment with the most recent employer
Ability to obtain a PIT license
Regularly stand, walk, talk or hear; frequently use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste or smell; occasionally sit
Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds, rarely more than 100 pounds
Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus
Tolerance for work environment: regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; frequently to high/precarious places, fumes/airborne particles, outside weather, extreme cold/heat, vibration; occasionally to wet/humid conditions, risk of electrical shock; very loud noise level

Responsibilities

Receive training and perform duties in several departments such as Raw Receiving, Load Out, and Feather Loader/Cook
Learn plant proper operating procedures and practices in each department
Assist in setting individual performance goals and objectives with Supervisor
Observe experienced workers to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards for departmental duties
Receive training in functions and operations of all departments to facilitate transferability between departments
Attend company-sponsored training classes
Abide by all company Safety, QA, and Human Resource policies
Keep work area clean and free of clutter (housekeeping)
Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
Use the correct tool for each job assignment
Report injury of oneself or coworker to management
Report job hazards immediately (correct immediately when possible) and document
Inspect all tools and materials for defects and safety issues
Follow all safety rules and guidelines
