Requirements

Must complete Lockout/Tagout training before training or operating line
Flexibility of wrists and hands
Ability to walk, bend, stand, lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally, stretch, climb, push, pull, and reach
Ability to work in hot and/or cold environments
Ability to work weekends and overtime
Ability to move to different lines and departments as needed
Ability to train and learn machine operator duties to serve as backup
Ability to train and learn lead duties to serve as backup
Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
Must adhere to all safety policies and maintain good manufacturing practices and personal hygiene
Wear required Personal Protective Equipment: smock, hair net, ear plugs, slip-resistant shoes, and safety glasses

Responsibilities

Perform entry-level non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson's policies and procedures
Work in different departments as needed (e.g., Tortilla, Taco, Corn, Packing)
Learn multiple jobs in the facility, including machine operator jobs
Gain general knowledge of all departments and jobs in the utility department, including general labor, machine operator, and lead
Operate equipment per SOP (e.g., press, bagger, fryer, seasoner, blender, pack out, sheeter)
Prepare for start-up or shut down of equipment
Keep legible, accurate records, including Line Operator's Log
Stop machines for adjustments following lockout-tagout policy
Notify Supervisor and/or QA of contamination
Safely operate equipment and adhere to all safety policies
Monitor and report wear and tear on equipment
Perform Machine Operators Training Checklist job tasks by end of 10-working day trial period
Ensure product specifications meet customers' written specifications
Enter data into Plant View system
Keep department clean and neat
Work as a team member toward task accomplishments
Follow company policies/procedures, written or verbal
Perform all other tasks as assigned
