Requirements

  • Up-to-date expertise in HVACR, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, maintaining, repairing equipment, preventive maintenance, and EMS/direct digital control
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local HVACR industry regulations and guidelines (e.g., building codes, indoor air quality, cold chain requirements)
  • Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations, including Walmart HVACR safety policy, environmental guidelines, and reclaiming ozone-depleting refrigerants
  • Ability to demonstrate and apply expert advice, best practices, and action plans to meet customer and business needs

Responsibilities

  • Ensures financial sustainability by compiling and reporting budget information, requesting replacement HVACR equipment, submitting warranty claims, reviewing journals and invoices, conducting price comparisons of refrigerant parts and travel-related costs, and developing scopes of work for projects (e.g., rooftop units, condenser coil replacements)
  • Completes work assignments and priorities in HVACR service by using HVACR policies, data, and resources; collaborating with management, coworkers, customers, and business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress; recommending improvements; and adapting to change, difficulties, and feedback
  • Ensures compliance with HVACR industry regulations by conducting inspections and making repairs
  • Ensures compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by performing work according to Walmart HVACR safety policy and environmental guidelines, and reclaiming ozone-depleting refrigerants
  • Provides required paperwork by completing and submitting forms (e.g., expense vouchers, summaries, refrigerant logs, work orders)
  • Ensures available resources for HVACR maintenance and repair by managing refrigerant levels and parts inventory, recording purchases and usage, tracking and ordering parts, and developing relationships with HVACR parts suppliers and contractors
  • Ensures working order of HVACR, EMS, and direct digital control by troubleshooting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing equipment; performing major and minor preventive maintenance; and managing district workloads with external service providers
  • Provides and supports implementation of business solutions by building relationships with stakeholders, identifying business needs, carrying out processes, monitoring progress, recognizing improvement opportunities, and adapting to demands, changes, and new responsibilities
  • Models compliance with company policies and procedures, supports mission, values, and ethics by incorporating them into business plans, using Open Door Policy, and assisting others in application
