  • Proficiency in creating/processing work orders, performing minor diagnostics with technical/electronic equipment (e.g., tractor engine components, electronics, drive trains, minor HVAC)
  • Ability to assess maintenance/repair/replacement needs, identify parts/solutions, consult others, and select/conduct best repairs (e.g., drivetrain components, communication equipment, onboard technology, tractor/trailer HVAC diagnostics)
  • Capability to communicate verbally and in writing with customers, suppliers, associates
  • Experience receiving fuel drops, conducting fuel sampling, monitoring safety compliance, handling fuel additives, tank levels, sample preparation/shipping, and paperwork
  • Accuracy in identifying/performing warrantable repairs, entering data into maintenance systems, completing warranty tags, retaining parts, and processing claims

Responsibilities

  • Perform minor to intermediate inspections, repairs, and replacements on Walmart equipment (e.g., trailers, tractors, yard trucks, shop equipment, service vehicles) by creating/processing work orders, conducting diagnostics, assessing needs, identifying parts/solutions, consulting, and executing repairs following company/DOT guidelines
  • Receive fuel drops and conduct fuel sampling by monitoring drops for safety compliance, following procedures for additives, monitoring tank levels, collecting/preparing/shipping samples, and completing paperwork
  • Identify and perform warrantable repairs by entering accurate condition/cause/correction data into maintenance systems, completing warranty tags, retaining parts, and processing claims for credit
  • Communicate progress, information, and improvements with individuals/groups (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates) verbally and in writing
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity standards
